iBwave is presently looking to hire a Vice President of Sales with a proven track record of success. The
applicant must take charge of selling iBwave’s products and services worldwide. This position is based in
Montreal.
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President of Sales will be a significant and critical
contributor to the future direction, growth, and success of the company. The candidate will develop
and implement the overall sales strategy, raising the profile of the company's products and services in
support of corporate revenue and profit goals. He/she must have the ability to assume accountability and
authority for all sales functions of the company on an operational and day-to-day basis.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Meet or exceed corporate sales target;
- Actively work with the President and VP of Marketing to develop and communicate a strategic sales
plan;
- Develop both a sales organization and a sales process infrastructure that delivers qualified
opportunities and predictable revenue forecasts;
- Manage the company’s direct sales force in EMEA and the Americas;
- Manage the company’s indirect sales channels in Asia Pacific;
- Actively pursue and close direct sales opportunities with specific strategic accounts; and
- Build and maintain sound partnerships with leading customers and resellers.
The incumbent must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with an extensive experience selling
technology products and/or services into the software and/or telecommunications industries. Qualified
with at least ten years experience in sales, the candidate has a proven ability to build up and grow
market opportunities worldwide.
In addition, the Vice President of Sales will have demonstrated communication and negotiation skills, and
he/she will have a track record of applying those skills to establish new customer relationships. The
appropriate candidate will be an outgoing, hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves individual who can operate
independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
Bilingual with impeccable English (oral and written), the incumbent should be a pro-active, enthusiastic,
energetic and self-directed individual who thrives on challenge and fast growth. Highly desirable
attributes include powerful interpersonal skills, the ability to develop and manage various channels, and
strong leadership and presentation skills. The candidate must demonstrate strong abilities to coach, train
and develop talent, and effectively integrate new talent into the organization. The applicant will be
required to travel to trade shows and customer visits.
The successful candidate will be offered an attractive compensation package that will include a base
salary plus performance-based commissions and stock options.
